A representative from MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) visited our campus on September 4th. He went over all the different majors that MICA offers and mentioned that students come from 48 different U.S. states and 58 different countries. For first year students, they have an opportunity to make work in 2D, 3D, and 4D. In addition, students do not have to declare their majors until second semester of first year and they are given an opportunity to explore all classes. Students can also customize their education and add minors and concentration if they choose to. Furthermore, students can take classes in John’s Hopkins and 11 other colleges. Overall, our students enjoyed MICA’s visit and asked many questions about the admissions process, portfolio review process, and pre-college programs.
