Probably, once in your life, you might have heard about the term “placebo effect.” The placebo effect happens when certain belief affects body conditions or emotions. The main point is that the drug itself does not have effect, but the false belief tricks people to believe that the drug makes them feel better.
To prove the placebo effect, a group of researchers blindfolded and told the subjects that they would scrub them with a harmful plant. After scrubbing, the subjects reported itchiness and redness. However, it was later revealed that it was just a harmless plant with no effect, which clearly demonstrates the placebo effect.
