On February 17th, the Concept Korea Fall/Winter 2021 Digital Runway was held in New York Fashion Week. The purpose of the show was to provide support for emerging Korean designers at New York Fashion Week, in order to continue to provide global visibility for emerging and promising Korean designers who wish to expand their business globally. This year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Korea Creative Content Agency(KOCCA) showcased digital runways and showrooms for domestic fashion designers who are having difficulty entering the global market due to Covid-19.
This season, Concept Korea Fall/Winter 2021 digital showcase presented the talent of Designer Shin Hye-young’s WNDERKAMMER, designer Lee Seong-dong’s UL:KIN, and Lee Ji-yeon’s JARRET. To promote the collection and capture the public’s attention, they collaborated with Korean artists. K-pop star TXT’s Yeonjun and musician BIBI collaborated with UL:KIN, and JARRET collaborated with WayV’s YangYan. It showed a mix of K-pop and K-fashion. Unlike offline shows, designers could express their creativity and imagination more directly on the digital runway.
