There was another serious earthquake in Turkey. Following the earthquake that killed and injured tens of thousands of people on the southern scale of 7.8 in the early morning and on the evening of February 6, 2023, a 6.3-magnitude aftershock occurred on Feb. 20. Fortunately, 6,000 tents were sent to the area overnight for residents who were surprised by the aftershocks, and patients were evacuated due to cracks in some medical facilities that were operating after the earthquake on the 6th. Turkish health minister Paretin Coca said 294 people were injured in addition to the dead, 18 of whom were seriously injured and taken to hospital. Meanwhile, the total number of deaths in Turkey and Syria from the earthquake on the 6th has exceeded 47,000 as of the 20th.
Turkey is now struggling with a big disaster. I hope that this disaster will soon go away and recover a lot overall.
